These terms govern your use of two sites:

  • danielmarsh.me - this website, where the writing lives and where you buy.
  • members.danielmarsh.me - the member portal, where you use what you bought.

By using either, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

Daniel Marsh is published and operated by QANT Pty Ltd (ACN 088 738 943), registered in Australia. Questions about these terms go to daniel@danielmarsh.me.

Not therapy, and not treatment

Daniel is not a therapist, a counsellor or a coach, and nothing here pretends otherwise.

The writing and the products are about practical social action and honest reflection: who you have drifted from, why, what to actually send on a Tuesday, and what it costs to start again at 48. They are not treatment. They are not a diagnosis. They are not clinical advice, and they are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Loneliness is treated here as a structural problem with causes you can name, not as a condition you have.

The AI guides hold the same line. Asked to go somewhere clinical, they will say plainly that it is past what they can help with, and point you at someone who can.

If what you are carrying is bigger than that - and particularly if you are thinking about harming yourself or someone else - please talk to a person instead of to us. In the US or Canada, call or text 988. In the UK, Samaritans is 116 123. In Australia, Lifeline is 13 11 14. Anywhere else, findahelpline.com will give you the number where you are. If you are in immediate danger, use your local emergency number.

Products and purchases

Five products and one package. Every price is in US dollars, because the readership is spread across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada, and a bare dollar sign means four different things.

Product What it is Price
The Empty Chair An ebook and a workbook, The Guest List US$39, one-time
First Round A field guide and a journal, The Round Book US$39, one-time
Reach An AI companion for actually sending the message, plus the roster of people you keep meaning to call US$19 a month or US$149 a year
Third Place An AI guide with a persistent memory, for the longer work of rebuilding and holding a circle US$19 a month or US$149 a year
Standing Order A twelve-week reconnection plan and a set of ready-to-send messages Not sold
The Complete Circle All five of the above US$249 a year

Standing Order is never sold on its own. It has no price because there is nothing to buy. It comes with The Complete Circle, and with nothing else. Owning the other products does not grant it, and it cannot be bought separately at any price.

The Complete Circle is an annual subscription, not a lifetime deal. It costs US$249 a year and it renews every year until you stop it. We would rather say that here than have you find out at the twelve-month mark.

If you stop it, you keep The Empty Chair, First Round and Standing Order permanently. Those three are one-time entitlements and they stay yours. What you lose is Reach and Third Place, at the end of the period you have already paid for.

The two one-time products work the same way bought on their own: you pay once and you keep them.

Where you buy, and where you use it

You buy on this site, at danielmarsh.me/checkout?tier=<tier_id>, using the signup form on the product page. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Once you have bought something, you use it at members.danielmarsh.me. That is also where you buy a second product if you already have an account.

Prices are the single total you pay. There is no trial, no free tier, no discount for buying more than one thing, and no countdown on anything. Nothing about this is urgent. It took years to drift and it is not going to be fixed by Sunday.

Our guarantee

We would rather you were certain than locked in. Buy something, give it a fair go, and if it is not right for you, email accounts@danielmarsh.me within 14 days and we will refund you in full. You do not need to explain why and nobody will ask.

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from inside the member portal. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be billed again.

This sits alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which we do not limit.

Use of artificial intelligence

This is the part most brands bury. We are not going to.

Daniel Marsh is a written persona. The name and the author voice are published by QANT Pty Ltd. The images of him are generated rather than photographs of a real man. There is no man in Australia with two teenagers and a job at a civil engineering firm who is sitting for these portraits. This is a portfolio-wide disclosure policy and it applies to every brand we publish this way.

What that does not change: the writing is edited, checked and stood behind by real people at QANT Pty Ltd, and we are responsible for everything published under the Daniel Marsh name, whatever tools were used to produce it.

Two of the products are AI guides. Reach and Third Place generate their responses. They are software, not a person, and they say so if you ask. They have no clinical training and no professional standing, and the boundary above applies to both of them.

We use artificial intelligence tools elsewhere in the course of our work too, including in the production of content, images and software. AI-assisted material is reviewed by a person before we publish or deliver it.

We do not give your personal information to third-party AI providers to train their models.

Content and intellectual property

All writing, images, audio and design on these sites are the property of QANT Pty Ltd unless noted otherwise. The products you buy are for your own use. Read them, print the workbook, write in the journal, share a link to anything on the public site. Do not republish or resell the content without permission.

Acceptable use

Use the sites lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt them or misuse the contact form. Reach drafts messages for you to send, and it will not help you contact someone who has asked you not to; do not try to make it. We may restrict access where we need to protect the sites and the people using them.

Your privacy

What we collect, what the guides hold, and what we never do with any of it is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site grows. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
